The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 1 March 1973 by Harvest Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the US. Developed during live performances before recording began, it was conceived as a concept album that would focus on the pressures faced by the band during their arduous lifestyle, and also deal with the mental health.. The bigger issue is getting a clean quiet playing one. Almost any clean UK pressing is going to sound superb. Only the low matrix numbers tend to go for bucks. I suspect you can get a nice later ’70’s/’80’s UK for around $30 – 35. so the -51 and -48 (or whatever numbers they were) are laquer numbers.
